About 619

We are Bozeman’s first all-girl Scouts BSA troop and we are pleased to welcome you to our program. It is our mission to prepare our young women for the future by instilling in them the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Together, we can make a difference.

Scouts BSA Troop 619 was made official on February 1, 2019, and we have been going strong ever since! We camp once per month, hike, and enjoy other backcountry adventures. We attend summer camp every year, and this year plan to also participate in our first High Adventure camp. We actively learn specific skills in the Scouts BSA handbook including knot tying, fire starting, first aid and safety, survival skills, and many other career development skills by earning merit badges. It is important to us that we serve our community by engaging in a wide variety of service events and opportunities.

Our troop consists of a team of committed adult volunteers and engaged parents that are dedicated to helping our Scouts run their own troop using the patrol method. We assist with the planning of outings and will provide enough guidance to ensure the health and safety of all participants, but we leave most activity decisions, leadership opportunities, and problem-solving to the Scouts. We are chartered by Bozeman United Methodist Church and there are currently 20 Scouts in the troop.
